It’s a give away bonanza at Apps World in San Francisco on 7-8 February, with many of the key apps industry players keen to woo the North American developer community with top prizes, competitions and free-to-attend developer briefings.

The event includes four jam-packed developer conference tracks, where some of the leading names in the industry will share their insight and experience on the technical and business related challenges developers face. Not to mention a load of special theatre sessions from the likes of Microsoft, Rackspace, Enyo and Intel.

It’s prize-tastic over the two days, with Intel running a draw that will see one lucky winner walk away with a MacBook Air worth $999. The Microsoft team will be offering visitors to their stand the chance to win a selection of brand new devices, a Nokia 920, an HTC 8x and two Microsoft Surface RT tablets.

And people who attend Enyo’s theatre sessions will get the chance to win either a Samsung Galaxy Note 2, or an iPad Mini. To register for the for a free Apps World developer pass, click here.

But that’s not all, no way! While we’re all still trying to work out what the ideal marriage between TV and the internet is going to look like, the TV Hackfest will run concurrently over the course of the show, challenging developers and digital TV professionals to come up with solutions to “make TV cooler”.

With a start-studded judging panel, there are some awesome prizes to be won here too, with Mashape offering $500 in cash to one successful developer. Google TV will be awarding 20 Vizio Co Star devices, which can supercharge your TV with apps, full-screen web browsing and streaming entertainment.

There’s more! Smartpay.tv is giving away an iPad Mini, an LG Smart Upgrader Box plus a Samsung Smart Blu-Ray Player.

And the prizes are still coming in, so keep checking the TV Hackfest prizes page for updates on what you could win. Click here to register to take part in the TV Hackfest.
